Week-long horse camp designed for boys and girls ages 6-14. Participants will spend all day (9-3) with the horses learning the basics of horse care along with a one hour riding lesson each day. No previous horse experience is needed, and all levels of riding and horse knowledge are welcome. Activities include lessons on colors, markings, body parts, nutrition, and equipment as well as instruction on grooming, tacking, bathing and other aspects of horse care. The week will be filled with games, horses, and fun so get ready! Space is limited so please register early.
The camp will run Monday thru Friday, July 9th to the 13th from 9 a.m to 3 p.m
The cost of this program is $300 dollars per child or $225 dollars per child if siblings are attending. A $10 deposit should be sent in with registration to hold your child spot and the remainder must be paid at the beginning of camp on the first day. Checks can be made out to Lockets Meadow
We ask that participants bring:
- Change of clothes/ towel
- Shoes- preferably boots that can get wet and muddy (rain boots work wonderfully)
- Boots with a heel for riding- no sneakers please for safety reasons
- Hiking boots and rain books work for this
- Refillable water bottle- water for refilling will be available
- Long pants- these are necessary for riding
Please note helmets are available to borrow for no extra charge but feel free to bring your own, we ask however no helmets not designed specifically for horseback riding
Early drop off beginning at 7and late pick up are available for children at the rate of $5 every hour. Please indicate on the registration form if early drop off or pick up will be needed.
